Is Elysia Rotaru Playing Medusa in Marvel’s The Inhumans?

Elysia Rotaru may have landed a role in Marvel's The Inhumans!

Arrow star Elysia Rotaru's latest social media activities seem to suggest that she has landed the role of Medusa in Marvel's The Inhumans.

It was revealed earlier this month that Marvel and ABC have hired Roel Reine  who is known for helming two Death Race sequels and Hard Target 2 - to direct the first two Inhumans episodes. Reine recently tweeted a photo of himself testing out the IMAX camera he’ll use for the series.

In response to the director's tweet, Elysia Rotaru tweeted the following:

This is gonna be amazing"¦Can't wait.

And with that, the speculation about her joining The Inhumans series began. But then the Canadian actress responded to a tweet by @MCUNewsMX that was accompanied by a photo featuring her and Medusa:

I wish I could understand this language so I know what this says, but…this art is fucking awesome…So fun.

Besides, Rotaru also started following The Inhumans on Twitter. Check out her tweets below:

Of course, it's possible that Rotaru is just a fan of both Roel Reine and The Inhumans, and is simply looking forward to watching the series later this year. But doesn't that seem less likely?

Whether Elysia Rotaru has landed the role of Medusa or not will hopefully become clear soon, since The Inhumans is expected to start filming in March 2017 in Chicago and Los Angeles. Production will reportedly also take place in Hawaii.

In addition to playing Taiana Venediktov in the flashback sequences of Arrow Season 4, the 32-year-old actress has appeared in television shows like Smallville, Supernatural, Backstrom, and iZombie. She also starred in the 2011 teen comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules and the 2014 slasher Girl House.

Do you think Elysia Rotaru has joined Marvel's The Inhumans? Do you consider her a good fit for the role of Medusa? Share via comments, and stay tuned for the latest updates!
