Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II's villain will surprise everybody and it will open the door for one of the most essential characters for the Infinity War storyline!
Yesterday we reported that Planet Hulk will be fused into Thor: Ragnarok, together with some new details concerning the characters (specifically, Thor himself). The scoop came from JoBlo, who also reported that we’ve known all along who the villain of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II is. One of the newcomers is Elizabeth Debicki, who appeared in Everest, The Great Gatsby, and Macbeth. And, according to the website, she will play the main antagonist of Thor: Ragnarok.
Debicki will portray Ayesha, also known in the comics as Her, Paragon, and Kismet. She was the perfect female, genetically designed so by the Enclave. However, she was just the group’s second attempt to create the perfect female, the first one being Him, best known as Adam Warlock.
In the comics, she is a superheroine. But, apparently, she will be a villain in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. II. And this would be a first for the MCU, since she will be the first main villain of any movie from this shared universe.
At this point, this is just a rumor - however, given the importance Adam Warlock has for what is to come, she is the best way to introduce him (outside of that cocoon from the first Guardians of the Galaxy). And since a rumor about a casting call for Magus appeared quite a while ago"¦
Anyway, this can only be good news - even though, at this point, it isn’t confirmed. And that is because we won't just get a first female main villain, but also because this opens many other possibilities for the future of the MCU.
