According to the British tabloid The Sun, it is the television actress from Manchester, Gemma Atkinson, who is considered for the lead role in the upcoming CBS series. Gemma is mostly famous for her role of Lisa Hunter in the small screen venture Hollyoaks which she had played for more than six hundred episodes. The hot actress has been a regular appearance in the FHM's 100 Sexiest Women list from 2006 to 2009.

It was previously heard that the makers are in search of an actress within age range 22-26 for the role of twenty four year old Kara Zor-El. Gemma, who is currently thirty, would not look too old for the role. Her hotness and acting talent would stand for her in playing the role.
