At the conclusion of 2015’s Ant-Man, we were treated to a first glimpse of the Wasp’s costume. And it looked really good, even though the design didn't fall in line with how the Pym particles work. We knew that it was a work in progress that would most likely change before the superheroine’s silver-screen debut.
That debut will take place in 2018’s sequel to Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp! Of course, we’ll have to disregard the flashback sequence from 2015, in which we saw the original Wasp shrink and become trapped in the Quantum Realm.
So what’s the Wasp’s new look?
She’ll be quite different from what we saw in the Ant-Man post-credits scene! Check out the reveal tweeted by actress Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne) to mark the occasion of the late Jack Kirby’s one-hundredth birthday:
I am honored to be on set today playing #TheWasp on what would be Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday.

Again, the costume is markedly different from the Ant-Man prototype.
The actress wasn’t specific about the scene shown in the image, but judging from the chalkboard in the background, it’s safe to say that she’s standing in an elementary school classroom. It’s possible that she’s visiting Scott Lang's daughter.
We know that Ant-Man and the Wasp will pick right up after Captain America: Civil War, and that Lang will once again be on the run. But we can’t be 100 percent sure when the movie takes place if we take into account the upcoming Infinity War. It will be released right after that movie, but we’ve already seen in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming that the studio is planning to make some major changes to the timeline.
So we really don’t have a clue what she’s doing in that classroom. Maybe she’s delivering a message. We’ll have to wait and see.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will be released on July 6, 2018.
