This isn't the first time Edgar Wright has had something to do with superhero movies. Besides directing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (which is based on a graphic novel and features quite a few superpowered characters), he also collaborated with Marvel to bring Ant-Man to life. It didn't work out, since his vision didn't exactly fit the MCU. However, most of the script he wrote was kept.
And now Edgar Wright is back, apparently, since he is asking for another Marvel movie to be made - with or without him. And this movie should be focused on Squirrel Girl, based on a Marvel character who always seems to win, even against the most powerful characters, even if most of the time off panel.
Check out Edgar Wright's tweet below:
In Scott Pilgrim: Superman, Cap America, Human Torch, Punisher, Cap Marvel, Lego Robin & The Atom. Get @AnnaKendrick47 a Squirrel Girl film.

Would you see such a movie starring Anna Kendrick? We would - but only if the fights were actually presented.
At the beginning of this year, Anna Kendrick said that she'd be interested in appearing in a Marvel movie. And, like Edgar Wright, she also has her eyes on Squirrel Girl. Maybe Kevin Feige should consider this - Anna Kendrick would be great in the role!
However, she isn't the only one eager to bring Doreen Green to life. Shannon Purser (who portrays Barbara in the awesome Stranger Things) has also teased the role on Twitter. And, unlike Kendrick, who said that her brother told her she could portray the superheroine, Shannon Purser seems even more set on landing such a role. Check out her tweet below:
So who do I talk to about being Squirrel Girl?

And Edgar Wright isn't the only one who’s teased the movie. James Gunn also said, quite a while ago, that he'd love to do a Squirrel Girl movie - but seeing that he's caught up with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, we guess he’s lost interest.
So what do you think?
