While its release date is slowly closing in, the marketing campaign for Doctor Strange hasn't really kicked in. Besides a teaser, a tremendous first trailer at the San Diego Comic Con, and a couple of other clips (featuring almost no new footage), Marvel has kept almost silent. Which is a bit weird, considering how other movies are promoted for the Disney-owned shared universe.
As it happens with all the major movies, based on comic books or not, Empire Magazine has featured some pretty neat covers for Doctor Strange. The first one sees the Sorcerer Supreme casting a spell, pretty much as we've seen him do in the clips that have been released.
And then there is the second cover, in which Doctor Strange is flanked by Baron Mordo on one side and The Ancient One and Wong on the other. Going beyond the pretty obvious Photoshop work, does it seem that all the attention is captured by the Eye of Agamotto? It may be - but for good reason, given the rumors saying that this is another Infinity Stone.
Of course, the magazine may feature some other cool new pics from the movie. And with them, as always, we can expect new insights into the film. Besides the obvious general interviews, can we expect some new details worthy of our attention? We guess that Marvel wouldn't spoil us too much.
Anyway, the new Empire Magazine will be released next Thursday. So new info may be released then, when it hits the stands.
The New York Comic Con takes place from October 6 through October 9. Can we expect a final trailer then?
