If you want to know more about the future of the DCEU, then this could be your lucky day - CBM reports that some leaks might just reveal that.
First off, the website says that Warner Bros is more than satisfied with the first Suicide Squad and that they have already planned the second movie to come out sometime in 2019 (might just be one of the mystery movies revealed by Warner Bros in the DCEU slate).
Next, Wonder Woman will feature Ares and Circe as villains, one rumor you might have heard of, while the Reverse Flash will be the main antagonist of The Flash - there will be a twist, nonetheless, in order to differentiate the DCEU from the Grant Gustin series. We already know that Black Adam will be the villain of SHAZAM - however, Aquaman will feature the Trench and Ocean Master. As far as Cyborg's solo movie is concerned, Warner Bros is still undecided - apparently, the studio is waiting to see the response of the fans when the first Justice League arrives.
There is no villain yet for Green Lantern Corps, movie which will feature both Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Apparently, the studio is courting Matt Reeves (Cloverfield), Duncan Jones (Warcraft), and Rian Johnson (Looper) to helm the movie.
The website also reports that Ben Affleck is, at this point, still undecided - he indeed writes a Batman solo script, but he doesn't know yet if he wants to sit in the director's chair.
As far as the Justice League is concerned, the DCEU isn't looking too good - the studio plans to see how the first movie will perform (with both the critics and the audiences) and then will decide if Zack Snyder will return. And how will this first movie be?
The leak says that Darkseid is a force of nature that can take over the superheroes and that has something to do with Superman's resurrection. The superheroes won't have to deal just with him, since the government officials will also hunt them.
Warner Bros is also working on some other DCEU projects, such as Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, Deathstroke, Birds of Prey and Legion of Superheroes. As far as the new actors ready to enter the DCEU are concerned, the studio has its eyes on Alona Tal, Imogen Poots, James Remar, Alfred Molina and Ed Harris, as well as on Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tessa Thompson, Javier Bardem, Bill Nighy, Jackie Earle Haley, Rosamund Pike, Willem Dafoe, Joel Edgerton and Frances McDormand.
Apparently, the studio has already discussed with all of these actors. Which is great.
