Cyborg Will Appear in the Flash Movie

Good news/Bad News

While Cyborg has already cameoed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he will also appear in Justice League, it appears as if Warner Bros. wants to test the character some more before 2020, when the Cyborg movie is scheduled for release. This falls in line with previous statements from the Warner Bros. execs, who said that they need to know if the character clicks with the audiences before starting production on the solo film.

And this is a great idea, because, by 2020, the audiences will already be acquainted with the character. Until then, Cyborg will have appeared in both Justice League movies (if Warner Bros. keeps the current schedule for the DCEU) and a Flash solo flick. So the studio will have every opportunity to focus on the story, since the character will already be developed.

Back in April, Deborah Snyder already teased this possibility. Now, among others, Variety has confirmed that Ray Fisher will reprise his role in the Flash flick.

As said, this is great for the character from two points of view. First and foremost, the audiences can get to know him. And then this is a chance for the studio to test the response of the moviegoers. However, this could also be a red flag.

After the release of Batman v Superman, many believed that the studio wouldn't release the movies it has announced for the DCEU. The biggest question marks were for Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps (the latter being announced at first as a Green Lantern movie). Thus, many believed that Cyborg wouldn't have a solo film and that his flick would be replaced by a Teen Titans one.

Is this announcement good news or bad? What do you think?
