Confirmed: Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie in Avengers: Infinity War!

Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie will surely appear in Avengers: Infinity War!

Thor: Ragnarok will introduce a number of fresh characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. When Thompson joined the Taika Waititi flick a year ago, it was reported that she’d signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel Studios. So we surmised that Valkyrie might show up in Avengers: Infinity War. And guess what! We weren't wrong!

Thompson recently arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland, where the Russo Brothers flick has been filming for over a month now. Twitter user @FahrLight shared a selfie of herself with the actress, with a caption suggesting that the photo was taken in the Scottish capital and that Thompson was shooting Valkyrie's scenes in Avengers: Infinity War.

In March, EW asked the actress about a potential return in the May 4, 2018 release, and her response was pretty cagey:

You never know where people will pop up. In the next phase, the hope is to find ways to interweave all these characters, and certainly with Infinity War, those are the culmination of a lot of work since Iron Man. She's part of the tapestry now. For me, it's exciting to join at a time with young actors like Brie Larson and Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan. We're all hopefully going to meet in one of these movies.

Another Twitter user, @carolinek95, posted selfies that indicated that Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo were also in Edinburgh. But, unlike Valkyrie, Thor and Hulk were confirmed for the third Avengers installment some time ago.

Fans are speculating that Cate Blanchett's Hela will also show up in Avengers: Infinity War. Many assume that her role in the movie will be similar to that of Death in The Infinity Gauntlet comic book storyline. However, the actress has not yet been spotted anywhere near any MCU set.
