A couple of weeks ago, one of the biggest teases said that Captain America will die at the end of Captain America: Civil War. Crossbones actor Frank Grillo said that he'd like to shoot Steve Rogers and this sparked quite a controversy. Of course, that was just a tease, wasn't it? And we say that because Chris Evans has already said that he will be present on set for as long as the shooting of the Infinity War movies will take place.
But new information has arrived, via That Hashtag Show, information which is filled with spoilers. So read on, if you will!
First of all, the biggest death (and one which will remain so, without the character being resurrected like all the others) was the one of Quicksilver, in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, Joss Whedon shot 2 death scenes - one for the mutant miracle and one for Hawkeye himself. Eventually, only one made the final cut.
In the same way, for Civil War, the Russo Brothers have shot three major death scenes, none of which belonging to Captain America (sure enough, they do say that Steve Rogers will meet his end, but we don't believe that). Thus, Falcon's death scene is just meant to disorient the fans who want to spoil everybody's surprise. According to the show, this scene is not meant to be in the final cut of the movie.
Another death scene, which is supposedly going to make the final cut, is the death of War Machine. As seen in the Civil War trailer, Tony Stark's best friend is badly wounded, most likely after trading blows with the Winter Soldier and after having his chest arc reactor torn out. It remains to be seen whether or not he'll somehow survive.
But the third major death of the Civil War is certainly one that surprises - according to the Hashtag show, Scarlet Witch will be the one to certainly die. If Falcon's death is a red herring and if War Machine may end up just severely wounded, Scarlet Witch will certainly meet her end. For this reason, Vision will decide to exit the Avengers and head into space.
There aren't any other details given whatsoever. But this is more than enough for now.
