It seems that the rumors were not true - the first Captain America: Civil War trailer wasn't released with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, on the 18th of December! It was released today, by Marvel! And it looks"¦
Well, what we can say is that it looks pretty serious - but not the seriousness of Avengers: Age of Ultron. The friends become enemies and those who become involved in the Civil War, with the tagline Divided we fall being more than ominous. Which leads us to believe that there are hidden villains pulling all the strings, in order to get the Avengers out of the way.
Check out the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War below!
Pretty intense, right? Falcon can be seen in quite an action scene, we get our first glimpse of Black Panther, Robert Downey Jr. delivers a heartbreaking line, Black Widow tries to bring Captain America into the fold, and so on. And it all culminates with Bucky and Steve taking down Iron Man! Isn't this the trailer we have always expected?
Well, there are some characters we haven't seen in here, though. And while Captain America: Civil War might bring the demise of War Machine, with the trailer teasing that, we would have preferred to see for the first time how Zemo looks on screen - him being, most likely, the villain behind the entire Civil War.
There is also no Spider-Man in sight, just like there is no Vision or Crossbones. But, hey! This is just the first trailer - and maybe the second one will be released in front of Star Wars!
Marvel has also released two new posters for Captain America: Civil War! And, just like the trailer, they feature the leaders of the two teams involved in the battle - Captain America and Iron Man.
What do you think? Is this enough now, or did you have higher expectations?
