Even though Kevin Feige revealed back in April that Doctor Strange – the second Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 installment and the final superhero movie of 2016 - will kick off its filming in November 2015, we didn't notice that it's November already! Has the movie started its filming? Hell yeah!
Doctor Strange has already started filming and the venue, quite surprisingly, is this year's ferocious earthquake victim Nepal! Marvel Studio or anyone related to the movie hasn't confirmed this, but thanks to a Nepalese guy, we have an image which is not any less worthy evidence than an official confirmation! The guy named Prayush Khadka shared the image via his Twitter account.
Picking the South Asian country for filming is pretty much understandable as Asia has a strong significance in the Doctor Strange comics. It is in this region that Dr. Stephen Strange meets the Ancient One and transforms into the Sorcerer Supreme.
Ambiguous Still but Still Intriguing!
The image isn't of a great quality and it's not that clear, but what we can clearly understand is that how Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange will look like - so it's obviously exciting! Check out the image by yourself!
Michael Stuhlbarg in Doctor Strange!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steve Jobs star Michael Stuhlbarg is currently in negotiations with Marvel to join Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor as a cast member of Doctor Strange movie. The website couldn't figure out what role he might be approached for as they claimed that the role is being kept "˜hidden in the astral plane'.
However, Variety claims their sources have told that the actor would be playing a villainous character named Dr. Nicodemus West. The character is "˜a rival scientist' of Doctor Strange - a friend-turned-foe to be exact! But, we are still short of any confirmation from Marvel.
