Batman and Superman

Batman and Superman - the two most popular superheroes of all time - are set to share the live-action screens for the first next summer! This, alone, could have been enough to stir up the fans to turn them towards the theaters when Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice releases. But, there is this VERSUS factor of the March 25, 2016 release that makes it an extremely anticipated flick!

Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman won't be teaming up in the movie but they will be standing against each other! But why are they up against each other? That has been EXPLAINED! The event of the second installment of DC Extended Universe takes place 18 MONTHS after that of the first installment - Man of Steel! That's been revealed in the latest issue of Total Film which can be also termed as a Batman V Superman-centric issue!

And now getting back to the WHY IT ALL STARTED question - that will be revealed in the opening scene of the movie and Henry Cavill has revealed that to us in the magazine!

BVS Opening Scene Reveals Why the VERSUS!

Bruce Wayne

This scene is a part of BVS prologue!

In the Comic Con trailer of Batman V Superman, we watched some scenes that tie-up the movie with Man of Steel. Those, according to Henry Cavill, are a part of the PROLOGUE of Batman V Superman! Here's how the actor explains (via ComingSoon):

"What happens there is one of Bruce's buildings gets destroyed and he's trying to save all the people inside the building and he can't. So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?

Ben Affleck’s Batman is DAMN ANGRY!

Batman isn't JUST ANGRY on Superman, but he is VERY, VERY ANGRY! Ben Affleck claims that his character finds himself in a position where he harbors "˜a tremendous amount of rage' for Cavill's character! The actor further explains:

"So it's how he got there, and what that's done to him, and what that's done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him.

Affleck added that this, for his character, is something "˜interesting and new'!

Snyder Explains What ADVANTAGE Batman Has!

Batman

Batman is gonna fight DIRTY!

How can a homo sapiens - no matter how much skilled and tech-advanced he is - even stand in front of an alien superhero with heat vision, flight and all those incredible superpowers? Well, that's the question asked thousands of times after Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was announced and finally there's an answer from the director Zack Snyder! He thinks the Titan of Gotham does have advantage over the Titan of Metropolis! Here's what he said (via ComicBookMovie):

"The advantage that Batman has is the goodness of Superman. The compliance to fair lay that Superman has…Batman knows how to exploit Superman.

This obviously means he's going to fight DIRTY! Ben Affleck claimed that the Dark Knight "˜functions in some ways as an antagonist' in Batman V Superman.

And there's obviously the ARMORED SUIT inspired by Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. But the shocking fact that has been revealed in the magazine is that the particular suit is 100% CGI in the movie! Affleck had to put on a skintight motion-capture suit for those scenes, which he thinks is "˜the most humiliating, ridiculous thing in the world'!

On the next page - Ben Affleck opens his mouth on whether he would like to direct the Batman standalone flick!

Affleck OPEN to Direct the Batman Standalone Movie!

Batman

Ben Affleck is OPEN to direct Batman solo movie!

In the magazine, Ben Affleck finally opens his mouth about his thought on the rumor that suggests he would direct the untitled Batman standalone movie. The actor who is no less celebrated as a director shared that directing the solo movie would be "˜a very exciting idea' and he is "˜OPEN' to it! According to Affleck, it would be "˜like a dream' if he can make it work. He added (via ComicBook):

"The trick is, as to any movie, is to make sure that you - if you're going to direct it - that you can make it good. You've got to have the right idea and the right take on it"¦

Ben Affleck

But there’s a problem!

But there's a PROBLEM as pointed by Batman V Superman producer Charles Roven! Ben Affleck has got a "˜BUSY SCHEDULE' with the Warner Bros venture Live By Night about to start filming followed Justice League movies. "The calendar is a bit tricky," commented Roven.

However, the producer suggested that they are hoping they can "˜make it happen' but they are "˜just at the beginning of the question'.
