So, Fantastic Four (or Fant4stic, as it’s being stylised) has now been out for a couple of days and it’s safe to say that the reviews are terrible.
Having seen it for ourselves, we kind of agree (it’s more boring than it is outright terrible) – but, given that the movie’s director has distanced himself from it, we kind of already knew what to expect.
Josh Trank quickly deleted his tweet about the movie (which seemed to suggest that his vision for it had been tampered with), but nothing is gone for good once it’s been online these days and several users screenshotted it before it disappeared.

Now that enough time (its entire opening weekend, which bombed with a mere $26.2 million in box office takings) has passed for the general public to have seen the movie, a lot of other Twitter users have been having their say on it too – and it’s not good reading for the people behind the movie, to say the least.
Let’s take a look at Twitter’s reaction to the new Fantastic Four movie…

I saw Fantastic Four. I really believe there was a movie in there somewhere. Someone had a vision that was then squashed.

Fantastic Four bombed at the movies? Hmm, with all of the production problems, script re writes and corporate meddling, is this a shock?

Don't know why Fantastic Four got so much hate you could tell this is just a origin story just a step up for a franchise #FantasticFour

Seen Fantastic Four. It wasn't great but don't think it was the worst superhero film I've seen. It was just a bit blah.

I'm trying to write a balanced review of Fantastic Four. It's an interesting challenge. 🙂

#UnpopularOpinion #Fantasticfour is not THAT bad. Really. There is some good elements 👍

My official opinion of #FantasticFour is that it could have been a hell of a lot better, it's not a bad film but it's no MCU film.

Not everyone was so understanding, however…
