Thor: Ragnarok is the final installment in the Thor solo franchise, and it already looks to be 2017’s best Marvel Cinematic Universe offering. With Taika Waititi directing, and Hulk and other Marvel Superheroes joining in – and given that Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming were both released this year – that says a lot!
However, quite a few fans have expressed their doubts that Thor: Ragnarok would be the movie they deserve, despite the trailers and the info that’s been revealed so far. That’s because it was reported that, with a runtime of about 100 minutes, it’s the shortest MCU flick ever. With its numerous characters and storylines (including Planet Hulk), and the necessary connections to the MCU, it did appear that Taika Waititi had a tangle of details to unravel.
After all, Thor: Ragnarok is Waititi's first blockbuster.
Apparently, the fans had nothing to worry about at all. Fandango just revealed that, with a runtime of 130 minutes, Thor: Ragnarok would actually be much longer than was originally reported. That’s more than enough for Waititi to work with.
Of course, just coming from Fandango, this news would be quite meaningless, but Taika Waititi actually confirmed in a tweet that the movie wouldn't be a mere 100 minutes in length. Check it out below:
Try 90. But it has 40 minutes of credits!!! https://t.co/ZcIjgZx477
