After directing last season's mindboggling twenty-first episode, Kevin Smith is back to helm the seventh episode of The Flash Season 3. With a story by Judalina Neira and a teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg and Brooke Roberts, the director is currently filming the episode, the title of which is allegedly "Killer Frost". The episode will feature Doctor Alchemy.
And from the set, he has recently shared an enthusiastic Facebook post in which he, first of all, thanks actor Tom Felton for shooting on his birthday, and then talks about his episode and the upcoming crossover with Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Claiming that the new cast member is "all class", and that his character in The Flash Season 3, Julian Dorn, is "an excellent addition", Smith adds:
Meanwhile, the amazing cast & crew busted their asses all day and night yesterday (while I watched) and shot some stellar scenes for Ep 7. This episode we’re making is the calm before the storm that is the forthcoming crossovers with @supergirlcw & @cw_legendsoftomorrow & @cw_arrow.
Smith actually seems more excited about The CW's four-way DC Universe crossover than the episode that he's directing. He reveals that he knows what is being planned for the crossover event, and he thinks it "f*cking RULES" and is "breathtaking in its enormity". The director continues:
They’re pulling elements from a story that was a favorite of mine back in the day, so there are tremendous terms and legendary locations in the crossover script I saw that will make any #dccomics lover fill their Underoos! I have enjoyed the shit out of “directing” Season 3 Episode 7 – but as a fan of #TheFlash, I can’t wait to watch the crossover to come!
