DC Comics' master impersonator and super-bodyguard Human Target is coming to Star City! Arrow Season 5 has officially added Jessica Jones star Wil Traval to portray the character, confirms KSite TV. He will appear in "Human Target", the fifth episode of the CW series' upcoming season.
Wil Traval captivated us all last year with his portrayal of NYPD sergeant Will Simpson in eight episodes of the first season of Jessica Jones. It is widely speculated that the second season will deal with the character's transformation into the iconic supervillain Nuke.
Apart from the Marvel-Netflix venture, the Aussie actor has served as a regular cast member in television shows like All Saints, Underbelly: The Golden Mile, and Red Widow. He has also had guest appearances in Dexter, Once Upon a Time, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The 36-year-old actor will play the Christopher Chance version of Human Target in Arrow Season 5. Chance was created by Len Wein and Carmine Infantino and introduced in the December 1972 issue Action Comics #419.
Arrow Season 5 won't be the first ever appearance for the character in live-action media. With Rick Springfield and Mark Valley in the titular roles, two different Human Target television shows were aired on ABC and Fox back in 1992 and 2010. The second series was actually a very loose adaptation.
Warner Bros. Television has released an official description for how Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen encounters Wil Traval's new character. Check it out below!
Wil Traval plays well-renowned DC Comics character Christopher Chance, a.k.a. Human Target, in Episode #505: a professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins. His latest client: Mayor Oliver Queen.
