Comic Book Movie just dropped major intel concerning some previously rumored roles in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!
This scoop comes via an unnamed French magazine, in which a partial cast list appears that shows some of the actors who will appear in the movie, as well as the characters they’re playing. Obviously, we’ve already had information in regard to some of the actors and their roles (such as Tao Okamoto in the role of Mercy Graves). But there are some about whom we had only encountered speculation, until now.
Thus, the biggest reveal is that Jena Malone is indeed portraying Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in Batman v Superman. For quite a while, this rumor remained unconfirmed, which led to other rumors saying that the Sucker Punch actress either has no role in the movie, or that she plays someone else entirely (Kahina the Seer was a possibility). Having her mentioned as Batgirl also puts another rumor to rest, a rumor that said she is Barbara Gordon, but the Oracle one.
At this point, we can also recall another rumor, which said that she will be the first live-action female Robin. Since this is an adaptation, it isn't too hard to believe that this Batgirl can also be a Robin.
Then, finally, we know what character Scoot McNairy will portray in Batman v Superman. While the most recent rumors said he will be Metallo (or, at least, an incipient form of the supervillain), the French magazine states that he is indeed Jimmy Olsen. It remains to be seen whether or not he will be manipulated by Lex Luthor against Superman.
Then we have another villain confirmed, though a smaller one. But this is interesting, since this villain is Anatoly Knyazev, also known as KGBeast. Callan Mulvey will portray him and this comes to show that the events of Batman v Superman will indeed engulf the entire world.
Lastly, we have the confirmation of several superhero cameos (unfortunately, no word of Green Lantern in here) that include Ezra Miller as Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
This is a handful. And we still don't think that Batman v Superman will be overcrowded, since these are mainly minor roles.
