Luke Cage: Hint at the release date on Netflix

Marvel’s Daredevil and Luke Cage will air on Netflix this year, but while Daredevil Season 2 is scheduled for March 18, Luke Cage doesn’t have a release date. For those who are eager to find out when they will see the Power Man debuting in his own show, we might have a hint.

Luke Cage made his first appearance in a supporting role in Jessica Jones, and so those behind Marvel’s Jessica Jones Official Twitter page made an interesting post. Here you have it! Suggestive isn’t it?

We know that Cage helped Jessica in her fight against Kilgrave (and were romantically involved), but this tweet hints at something else. If you look closely, the bottom of a document is labeled “Cage – November.” No, it’s not an official statement, but what else could this mean?

Luke Cage will have his own new story

Played by Mike Colter, Luke Cage was a big part of Jessica Jones TV show, yet we did not learn much about him except that he’s super-strong, his skin was unbreakable and he lost his wife. In his standalone series he will be "a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city - forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury."

The show will reveal how Luke Cage got his unbreakable skin and super-strength trough a “sabotage experiment.” The series will bring back Jessica Jones’ Rasario Dawson's as Claire Temple, the nurse who helped Cage recover, and other players include Simone Missick as Misty Knight, a police detective who aims to find the truth about Luke, and Theo Rossi as Shades, a “street-smart” criminal linked to Cage’s past.
