Assassin’s Creed Movie – New Look at Fassbender’s Characters!

Assassin's Creed Movie

Assassin's Creed movie and Warcraft: The Beginning are the two big screen video-game adaptations that will hit the theaters next year. Video game adaptations haven't worked that well in the box office. But with those two promising movies releasing, 2016 might just witness an exception to the past.

There're a lot of reasons to be excited about the Assassin's Creed movie. Director Justin Kurzel teams up with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard - the trio delivered a critically acclaimed movie Macbeth this year. And the official photos and leaked ones from the set have apparently impressed the fans of one of the most popular video game franchises.

Just a couple of days ago, we got a new official photo from the Assassin's Creed movie. It featured Michael Fassbender and Ariane Labed. And now we've got two more!

Empire Online has released the latest pair of official photos. Both of them feature Michael Fassbender. While one of them presents the actor as the 15-th century swordsman Aguilar, the other presents him as the present-day descendant Callum Lynch. Fassbender plays double role in the movie.

Here are the New Photos from the Assassin's Creed Movie!

Fassbender Didn't Play the Game before Getting the Offer!

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michael Fassbender shared that he had never played the Ubisoft game before being approached for the Assassin's Creed movie. But he did play it after receiving the offer. He said:

"I hadn't played it before these guys approached me. I've played it since [being offered the job] mainly to get an idea of the physicality of the character.

Fassbender might not have played the game but he does have a good idea about the expectations of the fans. He commented:

"The fans are really passionate: very specific and they expect accuracy and historical detail. We're really trying to capitalize and feed on and enjoy the fun element.

And he also claimed that they are "˜working hard' to make the Assassin's Creed movie "˜something special'.

And we do hope that it turns into something special, don't we?
