While Man of Steel is the first movie of the DC Extended Universe, Batman v Superman is the flick which will bring all the heavy players to the table. And, for most of the fans, it is the kick-start of the shared universe - but not just because of all the superheroes involved. The latest rumor concerning next year's showdown explicitly says that Zack Snyder has prepared something special for the end of Batman v Superman.
In this way, Heroic Hollywood reports that the ending will feature a montage which leads directly into the Justice League, effectively presenting all the DC superheroes of 2017. The montage will mirror the introductory scene from Watchmen, which introduced the Minutemen and set the context of the movie.
Here's what the website reports: "Using this technique as a closing credits montage to set up The Justice League is a stroke of brilliance. It worked for The Minutemen and can work for The Justice League. Using this technique, Warner avoids the comparisons to Marvel in the event they wanted to use a post-credit scene."
And it is indeed a way in which Warner Bros can differentiate itself from Marvel. And if the scene is in any way as good as the one from Watchmen, then Batman v Superman will surely end on a high note.
But which superheroes will be introduced then? Besides Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, we can also expect for Aquaman and the Flash to be featured (since they are said to have just blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos next year). Cyborg is also a safe bet at this point. The lowest chances are for any of the Green Lanterns to appear.
Another interesting thing which needs to be mentioned is that Batman v Superman will only be followed by a single solo flick until Justice League arrives. So, if the rumor proves to be true, we can also expect for this montage to heavily feature Wonder Woman.
There are just 3 months until Batman v Superman arrives - we will find out then if this rumor is true.
