New Comic Book TV Shows Of 2015

2014 has been a great year for comic book adaptations on both small and big screen. Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the representatives of comic book world on big screen, have claimed their spots in the list of top five worldwide blockbusters of 2014. The Flash, Gotham and Constantine from this world have earned spots in the list of most popular TV shows of the year.

Now, what does the New Year has in store for the fans of comic book world? Big screen projects like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man and Fantastic Four are promising enough to revive the glory of 2014 in 2015. But what about the television shows from the planet of superheroes? Well, not one or two, but six new comic book adaptation TV shows will debut in 2015! Let's have a closer look at the new members of comic book TV world!

1. Agent Carter

Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter will be the first among all the new comic book representatives to appear on the small screen. Marvel's Agent Carter lead role will be played by Hayley Atwell. The ABC series is set to premiere on 6 January 2015. Here's the official clip from the premiere episode for you.


2. Powers

Powers will also make its debut on air in 2015. PlayStation Network will broadcast the superhero show. District 9 star Sharlto Copley and Mother of George star Susan Heyward will play the main lead characters Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim respectively. Here's the official trailer for you.

3. Daredevil

All the episodes of Marvel's Daredevil will be on air on Netfix in May 2015. Charlie Cox will appear as the title superhero. It is assumed to be the first real superhero Marvel superhero on television. Marvel's previous television ventures have been focused on non-superhero characters.

4. Jessica Jones

Another Marvel-Netfix venture set to air in 2015 is A.K.A. Jessica Jones. The thirty three year old Breaking Bad star Krysten Ritter will play the title role while Million Dollar Baby star Mike Colter will play Luke Cage.

5. iZOMBIE

We don't have an exact day or month of WHEN iZOMBIE will start its on air journey. We only know it's coming in 2015. The DC Comics series will be broadcasted on the CW. Kiwi actress Rose McIver will play Olivia "Liv" Moore while Lipstick Jungle star Robert Buckley and Breakout Kings star Malcolm Goodwin will play Major Lilywhite and Clive Babinaux respectively.

6. Preacher

The TV series Preacher, based on the DC comic series of the same name, is set to make its debut on air in the second half of 2015. AMC will be broadcasting the series. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are writers as well as executive producers of the show while Sam Catlin is the show-runner. The cast has yet not been confirmed.
