X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on the 27th of May 2016 - so it is about the right time for us to finally receive our first trailer.
Sure enough, those who have went to the San Diego Comic Con this year have already seen one small clip from the movie. But, as the studio execs put it, it wasn't finished by a long shot. Namely, the FX weren't completed - so yes, those who have seen it leaked only may have been disappointed a bit by the video (which was, most likely, in a very poor resolution).
And, as you saw, it was a completely different version of Apocalypse than the one seen until now (you know, the one mocked by everybody).
And it makes sense to have such drastic changes - when the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer debuted at Comic Con, Bryan Singer only shot for a couple of weeks. So, besides not having the FX, he didn't actually have anything to show.
Next Check out what we know so far about the movie
Angel
Angel can be said to be the latest addition to the X-Men roster, though he did make a brief appearance in Last Stand. So we are very interested in seeing him on screen, once again, but this time done properly.
And what is most interesting is that in X-Men: Apocalypse he will be one of the 4 horsemen. So he won't be just Angel - he will be Archangel, a character we have never seen on the big screens.
On the next page, we discuss about what Bryan Singer revealed so far!
Storm storming Cairo
Bryan Singer teased X-Men: Apocalypse quite a few times until now, via images on Twitter. And many of these images had Egyptian settings. Most interestingly, we know that Storm was saved by Apoc from the streets of Cairo.
But this isn't all - the images shown by Bryan Singer seem to suggest that Storm returned with a vengeance to her hometown and laid it to waste. So a couple of shots of her destroying the city will be a nice addition.
Furthermore, we do want to see Storm in action in the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse for another reason too: to see her true, awesome power. Halle Berry didn't do justice to the character. Maybe now, when she has become one of the horsemen, we will see what her true potential actually is.
Next: What Professor X would do when facing Apocalypse!
Xavier and Apocalypse
The leader isn't Magneto - we've seen so many times what he can do. Instead, we would like to see what Professor X would do when facing Apocalypse.
In the Comic Con trailer, there is a scene with him, a scene in which he apparently realizes the tremendous power Apocalypse possesses. Did he have watery eyes? Most likely - but was it fear, or awe?
Of course, we do know who the 4 horsemen of X-Men: Apocalypse are. What we want to know is whether or not Apocalypse will trick Xavier in some way too. Furthermore, we'd like to see how the young X-Men will react in the absence of the leader.
Go on the next page and check out the release date of the trailer!
So when will we see it again, with all the FX completed, in HD? Well, before check it out!
X-Men: Apocalypse and The Martian
No, it is not the Martian Manhunter. Instead, it is the Matt Damon vehicle, who is already receiving some of the best reviews we have seen this year. Apparently, X-Men: Apocalypse will debut its first trailer on the 2nd of October, when The Martian will be released.
Of course, this needs to be taken with a pinch of salt - but not too much of it. While the studio or the director haven't confirmed yet that X-Men: Apocalypse will debut the trailer anytime soon, this rumor comes mere days after a leaked image of Apocalypse himself popped online.
Apocalypse - literally
Time and time, the producers and Bryan Singer have said that X-Men: Apocalypse will be like no other X-Men film before, going global and even cosmic. We know that Apocalypse is the strongest mutant there is - we know that he is the first one.
But the Comic Con trailer didn't show him doing anything at all - of course, we saw him recruiting. But we didn't see what he can do. So whether it will be changing his size, whether it will be manipulating matter all around him, whether it will be anything else, we want to see Apocalypse in action!
