Spider-Man: Far From Home Is Finally Coming To Disney+

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy is one step closer to being complete on Disney+. The streaming service has announced that 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home is officially being added to its library for subscribers in November. Soon, all that will be missing is 2021’s blockbuster hit Spider-Man: No Way Home. Meanwhile, Marvel fans can finally enjoy Far From Home along with the rest of the MCU movies on Disney+.

Disney and Marvel confirmed the news recently on social media. Subscribers will be able to watch director Jon Watts’ Far From Home beginning Friday, November 3. The reason the movie wasn’t available sooner is because, ultimately, Sony still controls the solo Spider-Man movies. But it seems that Disney managed to cut a deal for this one. One assumes No Way Home will eventually join as well, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this year, several other Spider-Man movies, including the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield films, also made their way to Disney+. Tom Holland’s first solo outing as Peter Parker in the MCU, Spider-Man: Homecoming, was also added to the service at that time. Disney really is trying to make this a complete hub for all things Marvel. Contractual stuff makes that difficult. But this brings them one step closer to having the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe under one roof.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Our friendly neighborhood superhero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave superheroics behind for a few weeks is quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks. Spider-Man and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) join forces to fight the havoc unleashed across the continent but all is not as it seems.”

Spider-Man: Far From Home was a gigantic hit at the time of its release. The film took in $1.13 billion at the global box office against very positive reviews. It was, for a time, Sony’s highest-grossing release ever. It would be topped by No Way Home in 2021, which made more than $1.9 billion. The cast for the film includes Tom Holland, Samuel Jackson, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Angourie Rice, Jacob Batalon, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Look for Spider-Man: Far From Home on Disney+ on November 3.
