Warner Bros. has released another trailer for Suicide Squad - and, as the previous 2 trailers were, it’s excellent! We finally get to see why the Suicide Squad project was green lighted from the start; we get to see more action with the supervillains; a couple of new shots with Batman; and so on.
But, more importantly, we see that the movie is fun - and this is very important, since the latest rumors said that Warner Bros. is a bit weary of the movie's tone, after Batman v Superman became a disappointment (in its third weekend, the superhero showdown fell to the second spot at the US box office, even if its main contender was a poorly received comedy).
So we trust the Suicide Squad. Saying that its trailers get better and better would be an understatement. The clip is perfectly cut, it contains something for everybody, and features yet another kick-ass song (a cover of Ballroom Blitz by Sweet). Harley, you cannot not love her
As far as our expectations are concerned, they cannot get any higher!
So what else do we know about the movie, following this third trailer? We can expect for it to take place before the events of Batman v Superman, since the Man of Steel is still alive and Batman doesn't seem to be so unforgiving (after all, he does appear to save Harley). Then we do get the sense that, at one point in the movie, the Squad will encounter the Joker (Jared Leto will kill it!). And lastly, Harley Quinn will wield a mallet!
Even if we were expecting another Civil War trailer today, we may have received something better in return!
