Logan: Reactions to the First 40 Minutes

The Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 trailer is breaking records, and two trailers were just released for Spider-Man: Homecoming. All of this might make it easy to forget that Fox is also getting set to release an anticipated comic book movie next year: Logan, the (supposedly) final time to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine (and definitely the last time we'll see Patrick Stewart as Professor X). But here is a reminder - the Logan trailer was also one of the best received trailers of all time. And now, Fox has screened the first 40 minutes of the film for attendees at a New York showcase event.

Of course, first reactions (especially when the movie isn't screened in its entirety) are almost always deceiving. But we believe that this isn't the case this time around. Logan is the first R-rated superhero flick (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice doesn't count, because the R-rated version was released only on Blu-ray) to arrive after Deadpool - and Deadpool made history.
