Crossbones – He Could Defeat the Hulk

Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Or at least this is what actor Frank Grillo (who portrayed Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier for the first time) says. After all, who had the courage of taking on Captain America in an elevator? Granted, he had quite a few guys with him, but still"¦

Even more, of we take a look at the comics, we see that there is one singular character who managed to kill the shield wielding Avenger, and that character is Crossbones - again, granted, he kills the Steve Rogers using a sniper rifle, but still"¦

crossbones

1. Brains over Brawn

It all comes down to this, according to Frank Grillo - Hulk is nothing else than a, well, hulk with little to no martial arts and tactic skills. Furthermore, he has no weapons. And, even more, the Hulk is green.

Well, here is what Frank Grillo said: "The Hulk is just a big thug who comes at you. He comes out swinging. Crossbones is much smarter than that. Plus, he's got weapons. The Hulk has no weapons. He's an idiot. And he's green. Crossbones doesn't lose to people who are green. I'll fight any of those guys. Any of them.”

2. Could that happen?

Well, Frank Grillo's Brock Rumlo survived (barely) in the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Furthermore, the actor revealed that he is preparing for a comeback in Captain America: Civil War, so he might get the chance of squaring off against the Hulk (however, for the moment, it isn't known whether the green goliath will be seen in the Winter Soldier sequel).

But, no matter what Frank Grillo might say, Crossbones is still just a human. And, if we recall The Avengers, Hulk shrugged off all the bullets that were shot at him (even more, Bruce Banner couldn't harm himself because of the other).

3. So where does that leave us?

We know for certain that Crossbones will be back. And while we know nothing about the Hulk, we can bet that the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent will have a word to say in the Civil War.

But could Frank Grillo actually tease us and reveal the Hulk for Civil War without us even suspecting? Food for thought!
