New Trailer for Marvel’s Luke Cage Officially Launched!

New trailer for Luke Cage surfaces on web!

With less than two months remaining before all of the episodes of Marvel's Luke Cage premiere on Netflix, the online streaming network has launched a brand new trailer for the show. Unlike the teaser trailer released during San Diego Comic-Con International 2016, this one is a full-length trailer with a runtime of two minutes and 45 seconds.

The new Luke Cage trailer features some really cool sequences with Mike Colter's Power Man in action. While the SDCC trailer focused mostly on action scenes, this one invests a fair share of its running time in introducing different characters from the upcoming series.

There's a lot of footage featuring Mahershala Ali's Cornell Stokes, aka Cottonmouth, who believes, "Everybody wants to be the king."

There's a sequence in which Alfre Woodard's Mariah Dillard describes Harlem as a symbol of "hope and prosperity", and another in which Simone Missick's Misty Knight tells Luke Cage that he "might be bulletproof, but Harlem ain't".

Rosario Dawson also appears in this new Luke Cage trailer, reprising Claire Temple from the previous two Marvel-Netflix ventures - Daredevil and Jessica Jones. There's one scene in which she tells Colter's character, "Too much happens in the shadows. People fear what they can't see."

While Power Man's origin story was briefly teased in Jessica Jones, the trailer indicates that we will get it in a more detailed form in Luke Cage. Earlier this year, Mike Colter claimed that they will be showing it in "a really cool way".

Apart from the trailer, a new poster for Luke Cage has also been released. It's an awesome one that is enough to make it clear that no matter how many bullets are used against this superhero, each and every single one of them will be just wasted! Here's the poster for you!
