This would be the third time when a Spider-Man franchise is at its beginning - but you know what they say, third time’s a charm. And seeing that Marvel now has the reigns to its most well-known character, we can bet that this time the web crawler will have a longer and more successful run on the big screens than before.
Spider-Man will make his debut in the MCU this year, in just a couple of weeks, when Captain America: Civil War will be released. After that, the fans of the character will have to wait just one more year until the solo movie arrives - a solo movie about which we know close to nothing, except for the (obvious) fact that it won't be yet another origin story.

Here's the downside, though - or, at least, something which could be perceived as a downside: Marvel will have to accept creative input from Sony, the studio that ruined 2 Spider-Man franchises already. So there is that.
Today Sony has revealed the new title of the Spider-Man reboot, as well as the logo. And, as one Twitter user said, they made sure the name Marvel is visible, so everybody would know that the reboot"¦ will work (we sugarcoated it). Thus, after the debut in Captain America: Civil War, the fans will see the web-crawler in Spider-Man: Homecoming (as we previously reported).

Tom Holland was on stage at the CinemaCon and he said, "throughout the story Peter is trying to find his true identity and where he fits into the world."
As previously said, Homecoming may refer to Peter Parker's return to New York after the Civil War events. But this could also be a hint at the storyline Homecoming, in which Spider-Man dons for the first time the symbiote suit. Nonetheless, the most recent rumors say that the main baddie of the movie will be Vulture – so a villain we haven’t seen before on the big screens, as Kevin Feige teased a while ago.
