The Red Hood Gang Visits Gotham

The Red Hood Gang is The Joker's former group of acolytes. He used to lead the masked thugs previously to his life-altering encounter with Batman. After his chemical accident, Red Hood gets the face that becomes him best and turns into The Joker.

A week or so ago, Red Hood was confirmed for Gotham (one episode) by none other than Bruno Heller. Which is a big deal, given his appearance means The Joker might also grace the series with his presence in one of the upcoming episodes.

The fact the Red Hood Gang was also confirmed (for the episode aired on February 23rd), leads us to the same question. Will the Clown Prince of Crime show up in Gotham?

Red Hood Gang confirmed for Gotham

This is the official announcement:

"The fearsome secret origin of iconic Super-Villain The Scarecrow is revealed on Feb. 2 and Feb. 9, when Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) track down a killer who murders in the name of science. On Feb. 16, Gotham City turns into a three-ring circus when a clown attack traps Gordon and Dr. Thompkins (guest star Morena Baccarin) under the Big Top, and Gordon meets John Grayson (guest star Rob Gorrie), the father of the future Robin. Finally, on Feb. 23, Gordon and Bullock track down the Red Hood Gang, as Selina (Camren Bicondova) plays a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with Ivy (guest star Clare Foley).

Will we get to see an actual physical appearance of The Joker, now that the Red Hood Gang is confirmed? Hopefully, the episode's synopsis will clear the air. But until then, think about it: would the arrival of Red Hood Gang be worthy of one episode if it didn't usher, in whatever way, The Joker in the incipient Batman world described in Gotham?

The Red Hood Gang owes its notoriety to The Joker himself. So, you do the math. Thoughts?
