The Punisher: New Flashback Pic and Tease

The Punisher blew everybody away during Daredevil's second season. He’ll be back in action before 2017 is out, and the majority of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Netflix corner anticipates that Frank Castle's return will be the year’s main event. And this year brought us Iron Fist and The Defenders.

Most recently, a list of episode titles for The Punisher’s first season was released – in Morse code. In addition, a new promo revealed the main characters. Watch them both here.

As New York Comic Con closes in, the marketing campaign for the Punisher has released a new pic of Frank Castle. This time, it’s a flashback pic from Castle’s time in the army. Check it out below!

The teaser trailer made it clear that, like the rest of us, Castle is the product of his own history. His memories are demons that haunt him, so we can expect to see flashbacks as backstory for the character and as a device to kick off the series’ first season.

In addition, the official Punisher Instagram account has posted a new tease that, like the episode titles, is in code. So far, no one’s been able to crack the code, but many believe that it reveals the first season’s release date.

Check it out below, and tell us what you make of it!

Come out, come out wherever you are.

Of course, it could also tease the first full-length trailer. Again, NYCC is approaching.

For the moment, the only thing we’re sure of is that The Punisher will debut in 2017.
