Suicide Squad Tie-In Music Video "Sucker For Pain" Launched!

Tie-in songs aren’t as popular in Hollywood as they used to be. But it looks like the upcoming DC Extended Universe installment Suicide Squad is making an effort to revive the trend with Suicide Squad: The Album, the movie’s soundtrack album. The official track list was revealed a week ago, and it features original songs, some covers, and a few classics.

One of the original songs on the album is “Sucker For Pain” by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, Logic, Ty Dolla $ign and X Ambassadors. Following the song’s audio release by Atlantic Records, the official Facebook page of Suicide Squad launched its official music video, as well.

"Sucker For Pain" seems like more of a thematic accompaniment to Suicide Squad than a literal one. The song doesn’t name-drop characters or describe scenes from the David Ayer flick.

Instead, it focuses on universal themes of behaving badly. Some of the lyrics do seem to describe the dysfunctional relationship between Harley Quinn and The Joker. And it does mention the word “squad” a couple of times!

The music video is set mostly in Belle Reve Penitentiary, the home of Suicide Squad. It also features a few snippets of new footage from the upcoming August 5 release. Here’s the video for you!

Of course, "Sucker For Pain" isn’t the first original song from Suicide Squad: The Album to have its official music video released. The music video for “Heathens” by Twenty One Pilots was also launched recently. You may check it out as well!

Apart from the music videos, a new still from the movie has also surfaced on the web. It features Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime and Margot Robbie’s Miss Quinzel! Here’s the photo for you!
