Suicide Squad: Extended Cut Details

This year was the most divisive year for comic book movie fans, especially for those who wanted to see the DCEU going in the right direction. After Batman v Superman failed to impress the majority of the audiences, Suicide Squad proved yet again that a movie will fail (with the fans, of course) when the studio interferes. Many have said that the supervillain flick seemed too poorly cut and paced for a film with such big ambitions.

In what seems to have become a trend for the DCEU, Suicide Squad will receive an extended cut, once the Blu-ray version is released. At first, it was said that 15 more minutes would be added, but today news has arrived that dismisses this information.

The extended cut will be just 11 minutes longer. And we know - this won’t be enough to clean up the movie or to add all those awesome and interesting Joker scenes (as Jared Leto said). Check out the leaked back cover art for the Suicide Squad Blu-ray below:

There will be special features as well, which will most likely include the deleted scenes. Check out the list:

Task Force X: One Team, One Mission - Discover the rich legacy of DC's most infamous bad guys.

Squad Strength and Skills - How'd they whip themselves into shape?

Get the inside story on Joker and Harley: The “It” Couple of the Underworld - She's rotten. He's damaged. They're a match made in hell.

Chasing the Real - Writer/director David Ayer reveals techniques for creating an authentic surreal world.

Plus Gag Reel and More!

Suicide Squad will be available on Digital HD on the 15th of November. The Blu-ray version (which will also contain the extended cut) will be released on the 13th of December.
