Quicksilver SLO-MO Sequence in X-Men: Apocalypse!

Quicksilver - the coolest superhero

We were introduced to two different versions of the Marvel Comics superhero Quicksilver on live-action big screen in the same year - in X-Men: Days of Future Past and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (mid-credit scene) of 2014. While Evan Peters played the Mutant Universe version of Pietro Maximoff, Aaron Taylor-Johnson played the one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Strange but true, these two actors played BEST BUDDIES in the 2010 Matthew Vaughn flick Kick-Ass!

While Aaron returned as Quicksilver in this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron, Evan is set to return next year in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse. No offense to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but Evan Peters' Quicksilver, in spite of lesser screen time, was a delight to watch - purely outstanding. That remark is actually highly influenced by the one slow motion sequence which – according to many, including me - was the highlight of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Now, as Evan Peters is set to reprise his role in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse, the obvious question that pops up is whether we will get more of such Quicksilver sequence in the movie? The GOOD NEWS is - Evan Peters has answered the question!

Bigger, Longer Quicksilver Slo-Mo Sequence is COMING!

While talking to Collider recently, Evan Peters confirmed that a similar Quicksilver slow-motion sequence is coming in the May 27, 2016 release. And not only is that happening again, this time we will be offered more than we were offered in 2014 X-Men flick! Here's what the actor said:

"Yeah, Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It's bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it's an amazing sequence that they've put together.

22 Days to Shoot That Sequence of X-Men: Apocalypse!

Evan Peters went on to reveal that they needed TWENTY-TWO DAYS to film the particular sequence for X-Men: Apocalypse. But he thinks it is fair enough to take such long to shoot such an epic scene. He stated:

"Just filming it, I was like, "Oh, my god!" I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It's so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it's going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time.

And we, too, hope it's going to be great fun watching Evan's Quicksilver doing that stuff once again, don't we? Share via comments!
