The movies and television shows of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are all connected. But to be honest, this bridge between these big and small screen ventures has been maintained through just a few references. We haven't seen any notable crossovers in the last couple of years or so. What we have seen of late is a frustrated Chloe Bennet saying that Marvel doesn't care about its television shows!
More recently, we came across a rumor that seems to suggest that the studio does care about its small-screen projects. According to that scoop, Marvel is considering having Daredevil's Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Those who are familiar with the comic books know that Fisk has not only been an adversary to The Man Without Fear, but also to the Web Slinger. So, the rumor actually seems believable. But, alas, we were wrong to believe that!
Wilson Fisk is NOT appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming! The confirmation comes from none other than the actor who portrays the character, Vincent D'Onofrio. Here's what he shared via his official Twitter account:

Well, Marvel might have told him to respond in that way. They could be keeping it a secret for now in order to spring it on us as a surprise just when Spider-Man: Homecoming releases. What do you think?

If Marvel didn't want him to offer a positive response, he could easily have said, "I DON'T KNOW!" And it isn't like he’s doing an interview and is unable to sidestep when asked a question. He didn't even have to address the rumor via social media in the first place!
More than a year ago, Vincent D'Onofrio claimed in an interview that an encounter with the Web Slinger would be a "super-cool" idea, and that he'd love to "kick Spider-Man's butt"! Really, he doesn't seem to be the type to con the fans about his appearance (or lack of one) in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
