New Supergirl Details Revealed!

The CBS adaptation of the DC Comic female superhero Supergirl is set to kick off later this year. We already have a good bit of stuff on the show confirmed, such as Glee star Melissa Benoist will play the title role, True Blood star Mehcad Brooks will play her love interest Jimmy Olsen and Lumberjack will be the first villain that she faces in the series.

Audition video clips provide us good bit of spoilers stuff these days. For instance, Marvel's AKA Jessica Jones audition tapes revealed important information on the show including the appearance of the supervillain Purple Man in it.

Now, a number of audition videos do the same for Supergirl! The information that received from the audition videos via "˜Comicbook' offer detailed knowledge about Lumberjack, Superman's involvement, Kara's family and more! Let's check out and develop a better understanding of the CBS series!

Superman: He Exists In Supergirl!

In one of the audition tapes, we get to hear a conversation sequence between Kara's foster sister Alex Danvers and her boss Agent Hank Henshaw revealing stuff concerned with Superman. According to the conversation, we will already find Superman as the titan of Metropolis but he won't be an undisputed superhero. There will be people who will stand against him.

We also come to know from the conversation that the superhero will be proposed by the US government some kind of training, an approach to perhaps control him, which he would decline. This would set up a collision between Superman and the government.

Kara & Her Parents: The Good Bye!

Another audition tapes reveals a conversation between Supergirl and her parents, Alura and Zor-El when she's supposed to leave Krypton for Earth in a space ship. Her father will be telling her the fact that the ship would take her to the Earth while her mother will inform her that the journey won't feel long as she would be asleep for the larger portion of it.

An additional audition tape indicates that Kara's biological mother will be the one to unveil the fact that she would be having powers on the planet she is heading to. Meanwhile, her mother on Earth will discourage her from using her powers.

Lumberjack: He's An Allien!

We got confirmed from a casting call that Lumberjack will be the first villain that the DC female superhero faces in the pilot episode of her upcoming CBS series. But we didn't have a clear idea on his identity. Now, one of the audition tapes confirms that he is not someone from the Earth; rather he's an alien from a planet where "˜females bow before males'!

May Be Zod Too Is In Supergirl!

General Zod

General Zod

An audition tape reveals a conversation between an unnamed villain and Lumberjack. He's a villain from the sense that he is playing an agent for some bigger supervillain who has appointed Lumberjack to kill Supergirl. Now, the interesting fact about the superior supervillain is that he is some kind of a "˜General' as refered by the unnamed one! "˜The general has ordered you to locate her and terminate' he says to Lumberjack.

Even if your knowledge on Superman characters isn't beyond Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, you must know General Zod very well! The general who has been refered in the conversation doesn't belong to the Earth for sure. He's from some other planet and a real mighty one! The conversation also reveals that the general is primarily an adversary of Superman. All these suggest the general is none other than Zod! What do you guys think?
