New Doctor Strange TV Spot Introduces the Cloak of Levitation

With just a month to go until the Doctor Strange theatrical release, we’re being treated to more sneak peeks from the Scott Derrickson-directed film. In the latest TV spot for Strange, we get a closer look at the Sorcerer Supreme’s famous Cloak of Levitation, which has a mind of its own.

The red cloak has been a key part of Doctor Strange’s look, and we’ve seen it quite a bit in posters and fan art for the next MCU installation. This short clip gives us a look at how the cloak behaves, and hints at the kind of comic relief we can expect from the movie.

It’s nice to see one of the movie’s funny moments showcased in this new spot. Marvel has been doing an excellent job in recent years of mixing light and dark elements in its superhero stories, and Doctor Strange already seems to fit right in with its MCU peers.

Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 4, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwitel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.
