Report: Marvel Studios Might Make a Power Pack Movie!

Marvel Studios reportedly considering doing a Power Pack movie!

Marvel Studios kicked around the possibility of adapting Power Pack to the big screen a couple of times in the past. If a new report is accurate, they’re revisiting the idea now.

That Hashtag Show reported that within the last year, the studio has "reinvested some effort" in developing a Power Pack movie. They’re looking at doing a "Spy Kids-like story" about the young Power siblings, Alex (Zero-G), Julie (Lightspeed), Jack (Mass Master), and Katie (Energizer).

The website cautioned that the project has NOT been given the green light, and they don’t expect it to happen anytime soon. They’re simply considering the preteen superheroes as a property that might be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond the untitled Avengers 4, which will probably be the final chapter for a number of key characters.

According to THS's source, Jonathan Schwartz has been given executive oversight of the project. Schwartz co-produced Guardians of the Galaxy and was an executive producer of its recently released sequel. Prior to these projects, he was Kevin Feige’s assistant for Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger. He’ll also produce the upcoming Captain Marvel movie.

Schwartz's involvement is particularly interesting after his collaboration with James Gunn, who’s helping the studio shape up the cosmic side of the MCU. The Power Pack is an earthbound superhero team, but their powers originated with a dying Kymellian alien named Aelfyre Whitemane. Check out the video report below!

With THS' track record of delivering some solid scoops (especially in the recent past), and the attempts in 2006 and 2010 to adapt the property into live-action media, the THS report seems quite believable. But even if the project does eventually come to fruition, it's unlikely that we will come across an announcement in the near future.
