Jessica Jones is definitely a hit among Netflix TV viewers. And comic book fans love it. So we’re all waiting for Season 2, but we still have to wait until next year.
We’re not the only ones looking forward to seeing Season 2 of Jessica Jones. Krysten Ritter, who plays the kick-ass detective from Hell’s Kitchen, is also eager to start production:
I'm so excited to see what [the writers] come up with. [I'd love] to dig deeper into the psychology of the aftermath of Kilgrave (David Tennant), and maybe we could do a couple big stunts. I'd be down for that.
In anticipation of more Jessica Jones, Ritter has teased what we are going to see in the second season.
Jessica Jones Season 2 will explore more of Luke Cage and Trish.

So, here we go, with the most relevant details that Ritter has talked about. It seems that Jessica won’t be the only one at the center of attention.
First of all, we’re going to see more of Luke Cage.
I love me some Mike Colter. [Jessica and Luke] are so different, but they both have something kind of broken inside, and they identify with each other because of that. There's just some magic that happens.
I love their relationship. I loved it in the original comic books, in [comic series] Alias, and Mike's a joy to work with. We had a lot of fun.
And as you’ve probably heard, her friend Trish plays a major role in the story, and may become Hellcat. Ritter remarks:
I think people really respond to seeing a female friendship that is not perfect. And they're never talking about shoes or a boyfriend. Their own story is enough to sustain a narrative, and I think that's really cool.
Rachel Taylor also talks about her character (Trish), and lets us know that there’s more to explore:
I think there's so many layers to this character. One of the things I'm really looking forward to, aside from all of the potential martial arts or athleticism, is seeing her relationship with her mother unfold a little bit more. I had a really good time working with [Rebecca De Mornay, who play(s) Trish's overbearing stage mom, Dorothy] and, obviously, working with Krysten and seeing their friendship unfold in different ways. There's lots to play with.
Jessica Jones is high on the list of best comic book adaptations on TV, and we hope that the second season will be as great as the first.
