Chris Pratt & Kurt Russell share a jaw-dropping moment in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, which has already kicked off filming at Georgia's Pinewood Atlanta Studios, features The Hateful Eight star Kurt Russell as Peter Quill's father. Director James Gunn shared his excitement during his live stream on Facebook (via Comic Book) about a scene they recently shot that features Kurt and Chris Pratt: “We just shot a scene with Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell. I cannot show you – they are in their costumes – but it was magnificent and really exciting.”

He describes the particular Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 scene as a "jaw-dropping moment". Could it be the scene where Peter Quill discovers that Kurt's character is his father? Who knows!

But Gunn's girlfriend and American Pie Presents: The Book of Love star Jennifer Holland also admires the scene. She says, “Loved it. I think it’s gonna be great.”

Gunn praises Kurt Russell by saying that he has been "an absolute delight". He adds that the 65-year-old actor is "really so committed to the role he is playing".

The director has teased another scene that he shot the other day, featuring Pom Klementieff's Mantis, saying: “Yesterday, we had a really truly jaw dropping moment, a wonderful moment with Pom, who plays Mantis.”

According to Gunn, the Oldboy star fits "so perfectly" as Mantis that "it's shocking".

During the Facebook live stream (via Comic Book Movie), a fan asks Gunn if he intends to return for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The director responds that the May 5, 2017 release is what he's concerned with at the moment, and he isn't sure about the future. He adds:

Marvel has talked to me about continuing on. I'm not sure if that's what I want to do or if that's not what I want to do. I really just want to make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the greatest possible movie that I can, and something that's as honest and sincere and true as it can possibly be.
