Inhumans Movie No Longer has a Release Date!

Disney has removed Inhumans movie from their release schedule!

Since the second season, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have been dealing with Inhumans, the ABC series that’s a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which meanstechnically – that the Inhumans already exist within the Universe.

But we haven't seen anyone from the superhuman race's Royal Family, like Black Bolt, Medusa, or Karnak. At the time that Marvel Studios announced its Phase Three timeline, they were expected to appear in theaters on November 2, 2018 with their own Inhumans movie. But later, the release date was pushed back to July 12, 2019.

And now, the Inhumans movie no longer has a release date! Walt Disney Studios, owner of Marvel, has officially removed the movie from their release schedule.

Does that mean that the Inhumans movie will no longer be made? No, because they haven't canceled the movie. And to be honest, we saw this coming, because Disney had announced a July 19, 2019 release date for Indiana Jones 5.

This franchise is Disney’s latest hot purchase from Lucasfilm, and the installment will mark the return of both Harrison Ford in the lead role and Steven Spielberg as director. There was no way they would have released an Inhumans movie just a week ahead of Indiana Jones 5.

A couple of weeks ago, Marvel President Kevin Feige also indicated that the movie wouldn't be released on the scheduled date. He told Collider:

Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big, joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big, fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it's on right now. How far down it shuffles, I'm not sure yet.

That's true: when they announced Phase Three, their deal with Sony Pictures on Spider-Man wasn't sealed, and Ant-Man hadn’t been. After the shrinking superhero's standalone movie bagged more than half a billion dollars globally, its sequel had to be given priority over the Inhumans movie.

But Feige made it clear in that interview that they aren't canceling the movie, as the superhuman race is being worked on in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Marvel head honcho says that it's just "a question of when".
