Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - First Teaser Trailer Has Finally Arrived!

If you were one of those fans who made life harder for James Gunn by constantly asking him on social media about the arrival of the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the good news is that you won’t be forced to ruffle the director’s feathers again. Marvel has finally released what you've been waiting for the last few months…the first teaser trailer for the May 5, 2016 release!

We learned yesterday that a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer had been classified, and we thought it would be launched ahead of Doctor Strange’s theatrical release. But it appears that the studio didn’t want to make us wait for that long, so they dropped it immediately.

As the report suggested, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer is shorter than one-and-a-half-minutes in length, but it does seem to reveal enough to get us all hyped up about the movie.

While it is mostly a compilation of footage featuring glimpses of various sequences in colorful and brand-new alien locales, it does feature some hilarious dialogue. The trailer includes a voiceover from Dave Bautista’s Drax, who states, “There are two types of beings in the universe - those who dance and those who do not.”

There is a sequence in the trailer where Drax is found trying to cheer up Star-Lord, who seems to be having some complications in his relationship with Zoe Saldana’s Gamora. He says to Chris Pratt’s character, “You just need to find a woman who is pathetic like you.” And that’s not all – Drax ends up hugging Star-Lord tightly, despite the latter suggesting that he doesn’t need it! You can check out the trailer below!

Like any good trailer, the first one for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 leaves us with a bunch of unanswered questions: What are Bradley Cooper’s Rocket and Michael Rooker’s Yondu doing together? What is that strange machine that Gamora is standing next to? Who's captured Karen Gillian’s Nebula?

Also, it doesn’t offer the first footage featuring Kurt Russell’s Ego, Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, or Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha. But we do get some footage featuring Vin Diesel’s Baby Groot!

Apart from the trailer, a new poster for the fifteenth Marvel Cinematic Universe installment has surfaced on the web. James Gunn has shared it via his official Facebook account. Here’s the poster for you!
