Fantastic Four wins three Razzie Awards!

Before making the movie, director Josh Trank must have dreamt of receiving a number of awards for Fantastic Four. Well, his dream has come true, but probably not in the way he expected! Those who've seen the movie must know very well that there's only one type of award that it deserves, and that's the Golden Raspberry Award - the celebration of the worst Hollywood movies of the year!

Fantastic Four received five Razzie nominations, and managed to convert three of them into awards (via USA Today). The 20th Century Fox venture has jointly won the Worst Picture 2015 award with the erotic romance drama Fifty Shades of Grey. The other three movies competing for the award were Jupiter Ascending, Paul Blart Mall Cop 2, and Pixels.

Josh Trank has managed to beat Sam-Taylor Johnson, Tom Six, The Wachowskis, and Andy Fickman, to become the Worst Director of 2015. The third not-at-all prestigious award bagged by Fantastic Four was Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel. The other nominees in the category were Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, The Human Centipede 3, and Paul Blart Mall Cop 2.

The two categories in which Fantastic Four missed out were Worst Screen Combo and Worst Screenplay.

Fantastic Four didn't get the highest number of Raspberries, though!

Even though the August 7, 2015 release bagged three raspberries, it failed to compete with Fifty Shades of Grey in terms of numbers. The February 13, 2015 release won five Razzie awards, including Worst Actor, Worst Actress, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Screen Combo.

Jupiter Ascending's Eddie Redmayne received the Worst Supporting Actor award, while Kaley Cuoco won the Worst Supporting Actress award for her performances in Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip and The Wedding Ringer. For his impressive performance in Creed, Sylvester Stallone has bagged the Redeemer Award.
