While no other Marvel movies has had an extended cut until now, Avengers: Age of Ultron is definitely the one to receive such a treatment. After all, Joss Whedon did say that the first version of the film was about 3 hours long.

The news broke just a couple of hours ago, when Screen Crush reported that the Blu-ray for the film can already be ordered on Amazon. And, as we said, this will bring the fans an extended cut of the movie. This isn't all, by the way!

An extended cut and then some

While Amazon is not the best place to pick reliable information, we do know that most of the criticism brought to Avengers: Age of Ultron was that it felt muddled and rushed at the same time. And it makes a lot of sense releasing an extended cut for the movie.

Even more, as you can see above, Amazon also announced that the Blu-ray version will also contain an alternate ending. And this also sounds good to us, since it might tie some threads from the movie. What threads you might ask? Well, entering the spoiler territory"¦

Spoilers ahead

As the rumor went, the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron will see Hulk trapped in space, thus making way for (most likely) a meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy and (least likely) to Hulk solo-features, such as Planet Hulk.

Well, this extended cut might shed some light, as we know that, in the end of the movie, Nick Fury says that the Hulk might have crashed into the ocean - what if the alternate ending sees him going further into space?

And there is one more thing, concerning the extended cut - what if Quicksilver actually didn't die? After all, he can regenerate and he wasn't shot in vital parts of his body"¦
