The showrunner of Daredevil Season 3 still doesn't know whether the show would be renewed for a fourth season, but he's very hopeful about it.
Three out of six Marvel Television shows on Netflix have been axed, and it's not Thanos who is to be blamed for that. With Marvel's parent company Disney planning to launch an online streaming platform of its own, Netflix seems to be in a mood of putting an end to its relationship with Marvel sooner rather than later.
Among the Marvel shows that haven't been cancelled yet, Daredevil is the only one that is awaiting a decision from the streaming service about renewal at the moment. The show's third season premiered last week and received nothing but love from the critics as well as the fans.
Under normal circumstances, we wouldn't be fretting about the prospect of Season 4 after Season 3 had garnered overwhelmingly positive responses. But with Netflix pulling the plug on two Marvel shows, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, just this month, Season 4 renewal no longer seems inevitable.
And apparently, Erik Oleson too cannot assure us that Daredevil will return. Speaking to The Playlist, the showrunner expresses his disappointment about the cancellation of Iron Fist. Calling it a hard blow and heartbreaking news, he adds:
I don't know what the future holds in terms of Netflix and Marvel and the new Disney streaming service and all of that. I'm not really privy to any of that stuff. That's way above my pay grade. But who knows what the future holds? I wouldn't put it past anyone that ["Iron Fist"] comes back in some other form.

However, in a separate interview with Newsweek, Oleson appears to be a bit more optimistic. He says:
All I can say is that I'm very hopeful for Season 4. The response to Season 3 has been astounding, and I have had some early conversations about it, but there's no official pick-up yet. We don’t know, and we are all crossing our fingers.
It must be noted that Cheo Hodari Coker had already worked for around six months on a Season 3 for Luke Cage before Netflix decided that there won't be a third season. So, Oleson having some early conversations doesn't really mean a lot at the moment, neither does Jeph Loeb's plans for three more seasons.
