If the first Daredevil trailer for the new season was all about the Punisher, the second trailer switched its focus to another newcomer. Elektra is thus introduced as an ex-lover of Matt Murdock, who came into town searching for help.

According to Elektra, she needs help in vanquishing the remaining Yakuza; even though Daredevil thought he already did that, he only made them hide and wait for all the competition to be eliminated. That accomplished, the Punisher takes care of the rest.

Scott Glen also appears in this new trailer, as Murdock's mentor Stick. And we learn the collective identity of the second season’s hidden villains. Known as The Hand, they’re an organization of ninja evildoers who are involved in organized crime, assassinations, and mercenary activities.

We can expect more revelations in the following weeks - if not, it will happen when the second season arrives.

What else can be said? There is one hooded character who is presumed to be Nobu, the leader of the Hand. Also, Elektra will apparently sport more than one outfit this season.

It should also be noted that there is a sort of continuity between the two trailers, which leads us to suspect that they were originally intended to be released as a single unit - with the first half focused on the Punisher, and the second focused on Elektra.

If this is the case, we can also suspect that Daredevil won't go against the Punisher on his own - as seen in this second trailer, Elektra is there with him on that rooftop.
