Earlier this year, we got the confirmation that Daniel Cudmore won't play Colossus in next year's Deadpool. We were informed that the actor who has played the character in three movies - X2, X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past - will be replaced by Seventh Son star Andre Tricoteux. But now, Entertainment Weekly confirms that even Andre isn't playing the character!
The Event star Stefan Kapicic is the cast for the Russian mutant! The Serbian actor was a last-minute replacement who completed his performance for Deadpool in mid-December! Kapicic shared that it was such a top-secret project that even he didn't at first what he was auditioning for! After the second round of audition he eventually got to know that he was approached for the role of Colossus. And even after sealing the role, he wasn't allowed to express his excitement about it publicly.

Stefan Kapicic revealed that Deadpool director Tim Miller wanted Colossus to be "˜bigger and stronger than everyone else'. That is why the 6 feet 4 inch tall actor wasn't allowed to perform the motion capture for his character. Instead, they employed a 7-plus-feet-tall stunt double to recreate his height. But it was his voice that brought him the role. The actor stated:
"Tim also wanted Colossus to sound as close as possible to the comic book character's background, so he had me to come in, since my voice was what he envisioned for Colossus, who has an authentic Russian accent. My character's voice gives him the past history as Piotr Rasputin once you hear him speak."
Cudmore, who played the character before, is a Canadian. So, this time, as promised before, they want to stick closer to the comics. That seems to be a good decision, isn't it?

T.J. Miller Joins Deadpool to Tease the Christmas Trailer!
Another Deadpool promo has been released which features T.J. Miller along with Deadpool. Miller is playing the titular superhero's best buddy Weasel in the movie. In the promo clip, the two tease the second official trailer that arrives on Christmas Day. Here's the clip for you!
