Clark Kent in Batman V Superman is Not as CLUMSY as Reeve’s!

We did get to see Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel but we didn’t see his Clark Kent – the journalist alter-ego - much. But in next year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, we are likely to get a lot of that persona. So, how did he plan to portray the journalist?

The latest Batman V Superman-centric issue of the French magazine Studio Ciné Live (via Batman News) features an interview with Henry Cavill. The interviewer asked the same question to the actor and here's how he responded:

Comparisons with Christopher Reeve’s clumsy Clark Kent are inevitable. My Clark Kent is trying to be as small and invisible as possible. If you’re awkward and spilling things constantly, people are going to notice you, and that’s not the best way to go unseen.

Cavill pointed out the fact that ‘just a pair of glasses’ that Clark Kent puts on isn’t ‘a remarkable disguise’. He added:

He’d like to think that no one will believe he could be Superman. How could such a delicate flower be a living god? Preposterous.

Batman and Superman - Two Sides of the Same Coin!

Batman v Superman Batman & Superman - two sides of the same coin!

According to the actor, Superman isn’t ‘that different’ in the upcoming Zack Snyder venture compared to the previous flick. However:

He does however have to deal with a new set of problems because he’s now been revealed to the world.

Henry Cavill commented that Batman V Superman is more about how the world in general - and Ben Affleck’s Batman in particular – sees the Kryptonian superhero. And the movie deals less with his character's evolution. And about having the Titans of Gotham and Metropolis share live-action big screen for the first time, here’s what he said:

They’re two sides of the same coin. They have the same goal, but use very different methods to achieve it. Understandably, that leads them to clash with one another, and their conflict is a historic moment.

And that indeed is going to be a historical moment. I would like to add one thing that I missed out while covering Ben Affleck’s interview to the same magazine. The interviewer asked the new Batman who wins in a fight between his and Cavill’s character. And here’s how he responded:

Well… When you see the film, you’ll realize it’s more complicated than that! There’s no real winner. I like the idea that Truth is the winner.

Another TRINITY Cover – Not So New Though!

While the interior of the magazine issue features interviews of Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, the cover features a still of the Trinity. Well, I won’t say this is a NEW still – we have seen Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in the same stance before. However, I have shared it below for you to have a look.

Batman V Superman Considering 70mm Release!

Batman V Superman Batman V Superman might be released in 70mm!

While covering a story on the 70mm release of The Hateful Eight, The Hollywood Reporter mentioned this new rumor on Batman V Superman. According to their sources, Warner Bros is ‘considering the possibility’ of having the movie released in 70mm. They shot the movie in part in 65mm IMAX. The report also suggests that there are other studios considering 70mm releases of classics like Lawrence of Arabia – made originally for that format.

That’s all that I had on hand on Batman V Superman – stay tuned for more!
