Civil War Writer Isn't a Fan of Captain America 3

One of the biggest movies of this year, Captain America: Civil War is also regarded as one of the best movies in the MCU. The film went up against The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy, so that says a lot about it. As far as we’re concerned, the Russos have again proved that they’re the right directors to helm the next big ensemble movie of the shared universe: Infinity War.

However, despite being praised by the critics (90% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) and despite being one of the most successful MCU movies ever ($1.154 billion worldwide), Captain America: Civil War did disappoint somebody. And, maybe, this somebody's take on the story should have counted.

Mark Millar, who penned the Civil War comic book, said that he wasn't at all impressed with the movie. Even more, after saying that the first 20 minutes or so were okay, he said that he couldn't really remember what the movie was about. Which is pretty weird, right?

Civil War had a good opening twenty mins, but then I honestly can’t remember what the movie was about. It’s interesting the Russos have a background in comedy, because it’s really missing in these otherwise well-made pictures, and very, very missed. I really hope this bleakness doesn’t extend into their two Avengers pictures, because what made that first Avengers work was the light as well as shade, and I’ll be sad if that’s all lost like it was in this picture (via CBM).

On his list of of the Top 10 movies of 2016, Mark Millar named Doctor Strange at his number ten. Which, once again, seems pretty weird to us - while entertaining, Doctor Strange cannot be said to be on the same level as Captain America: Civil War.
