Cindy Moon in Infinity War: Is Silk Joining the MCU?

Avengers: Infinity War is already packed with superheroes, and Thanos will bring his own squad, so the Russo brothers had plenty of characters to deal with during principal photography. To be noted, filming officially wrapped in July, and additional shooting for some unfinished scenes was announced soon after that.

We’ve heard a new rumor that’s really quite surprising. Infinity War has become bigger than life itself, but it appears that the Russos are still introducing new characters!

IMDB broke the rumor, which quickly made the rounds. According to their source, the Spider-Man character Silk will make her MCU debut next year. IMDB has listed Spider-Man: Homecoming actress Tiffany Espensen as Cindy in Infinity War, and fans have speculated that she’s actually Cindy Moon.

In the comics, Cindy Moon was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker, and she later became the superheroine Silk. Check out IMDB's tweet below:

Of course, IMDb may not be the most reliable source. Tiffany Espensen could be an extra in one of the scenes featuring Tom Holland's Peter Parker. However, here’s something to consider: What if she saves Parker when he falls, as the Comic Con footage teased? Or what if she turns out to be the link between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony's Marvel Universe?

What do you think?

The Spider-Man: Homecoming Blu-ray will be available on October 17, 2017. Avengers: Infinity War will be released on May 4, 2018.
